The General Council of Pharmacists, pioneer in incorporating the environmental component into its Code of Ethics

The General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists thus becomes the first of the collegiate organizations to comprehensively and globally include the environmental component in its Code of Ethics of the Pharmaceutical Profession.

The work has been developed by the General Council of Pharmacists together with the Professional Union and the Chair of Environmental Ethics of the University of Alcalá de Henares to respond to the environmental implications of the pharmaceutical profession through its Code of Ethics.

Prof. Emilio Chuvieco, Director of the Chair of Environmental Ethics at the University of Alcalá de Henares, already participated previously, in 2022, together with Unión Profesional in the preparation of the Guide 'Environmental Ethics in Deontological Codes'
